GED re-testing

Cash or Money Order Only

 

Required 3 month wait to register for the second and subsequent retests in any subject.

Examinees must register on Mondays at 12:30 PM or 6:00 PM by pre-appointment only.  Tests may be taken in one week or spread over several weeks time.  Valid government ID and cash or money order are required.  Any incomplete testing session will require a repeat test.

Score challenge

$5.00

One per test

Examinee may request that the testing service re-score the test.

Defacing test booklet

$75.00

Each occurrence

The GED test booklets are the property of GEDTS and not the testing center.  No one should write in, deface, or otherwise damage any test booklet.

Sealed transcript*

Processing can take up to 3 business days, depending on the volume of business.

Candidates completing testing from out-of-state

Even if only one test is needed to complete GED testing.

Candidates who move from another state to California who want to complete their GED testing, may do so here at MetroED.

Candidates wishing to complete their testing with MetroED will need to complete our registration papers and pay the per test fee.  Retest fees are as noted above.

Change of name, address or ID #

$3.00

Each occurrence

Examinees must fill out a computer form to change their address, name or ID number.  This is different than marking a mistake or inconsistent name. Address changes need to be made prior to passing all five GED tests.

Mistakes on computer answer sheets, called bubbling errors

$30.00

Each mistake on any test form or demographics booklet.

Mistakes or inconsistencies marked in the Examinee’s name, ID number or address on the computer forms are called bubbling errors.  An example would be the use of, or the omission of a middle initial on two different forms.

*    It is important to know if an examinee needs a sealed transcript.  Sealed transcripts are delivered in a sealed envelope.  The examinee should not break the seal or open the envelope to view the transcripts.
**  This office does not accept personal checks, credit or debit cards.  Money orders can be made to MetroED.
